What Is Electrolysis?
There are a lot of clients that are curious about what electrolysis is exactly. While most know that it can help with hair removal, they’re not sure what it entails.
Electrolysis is a safe, effective way of removing individual hairs from the face or body. The device that we use destroys the growth center of the hair with the use of heat energy.

How It Works…
First, we insert a very fine probe into the hair follicle. Then, the hair is removed with tweezers. The entire process lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, and is relatively painless. Most clients describe the feeling as a “tingling,” though some experience more pain. In the end, the process leaves the area hair-free and with multiple treatments, hair simply won’t grow in the treated region.
How many treatments you will need depends on multiple factors, since it varies person to person. We recommend that you wait about a week between treatments so that the area has some time to properly heal.
After treatment, you may experience redness around the area. However, this redness will go away after only an hour or two.

Why Choose Electrolysis?
Unlike temporary treatments, electrolysis can last for years with multiple treatments. Other hair removal methods, such as liquids or creams, can be messy and also contain irritating chemicals. Bleaches also contain harsh chemicals and do little to disguise dark hair; they also may discolor skin. And while waxing can remove hair, it can be both painful and costly.
In addition, laser hair removal only treats specific types of hair and doesn’t work well on lighter hair. Electrolysis, in contrast, treats all types—from red hair to blond to grey.
